A little Project

For this, I used Magnolias, Our Daily Bread sentiment, Spellbinders' tree, Quickutz sun and clouds, bird and rabbit dies, MFT grass dies and flower punch, sigh! So many, my fingers hurt!
Here's view from the top...
Thank you for viewing and your kind comments:)

Simple Christmas Cards for Friends

For Belle
As you can see, the Merry Christmas greeting was salvaged from an old Christmas card. The bow was from last year's gift box. The DP used inside is from a DCWV Christmas Stack.

Below: For Sharon
Here I used a DCWV A2 card  and embellished it with the Marianne D candle diecut, Quickutz sentiment and Spellbinders' 2011 Heirloom ornament. To create the candlelight halo, I used distressed ink.

Below: For Angie
Very simple: Juz DCWV A2 card and tag , washi tape and a tiny bow:)

Recycling...

Here's the old Chinese New Year card found in my stash.
Below is the remake using the cutout...This character means wealth but it doesn't necessarily mean $$$. Could be love, peace , joy and good health too!

For my non-Asian friends, above are some red packets which we used to put money as gifts to children, parents and to anyone we wish to bless. I used them to make the flowers and fire crackers as embellishments for this card.  See below. Black is not a good color for auspicious occasions for the Chinese. But... we are in the 21st century!!! So ... I like the modern colors here:)

The world is not ending...yet!

First, we've got to celebrate Chinese New Year:)

Lunar New Year

This is not in the traditional auspicious red as most old folks would like;)
Notice the calligraphy in the insert? I wrote it myself. I had to practise about twenty times before venturing to put it on the card. It means May everything be smooth sailing for you in 2013.

Gong Xi Fa Chai- Happy New Year 2013

A traditional Chinese New Year card in auspicious red; for good tidings:)
